This is not just a simple poirtrait, but is a very slow and contemplative experience of sitting for an authentic 19th century wet plate collodion portrait. Every photograph is a unique handcrafted plate and you can observe the process of its creation. You will see how photographs were made on metal and glass plates step by step, including the complete darkroom process.
Taking a single photo often requires more than half an hour and due to the complexity of the process the outcome is far from certain. The photoshoot takes about 1.30 – 2.00 hours.
You can select what material you would like your portrait to be taken on.
